Computer Science Major Catches Google's Attention

Louis Jenkins shows off his Outstanding Project:
Peers' Choice award.
Bloomsburg University senior Louis Jenkins wasn't originally looking for an academic research experience, but couldn't be more grateful for his summer spent at Lehigh University. The computer science major earned an Outstanding Project: Peers' Choice award on his work "Concurrent and Scalable Built-In Hash Table for the Go Programming Language," a work that was published and even caught the attention of Google Go.
Jenkins had some worries about his potential not being met because of his lack of connections, however, his internship and award not only buffed up his resume, but also led him to meeting more computer science professionals, including his advisor, Michael L. Scott, a renowned computer programmer.
