Spring Career Programs
From job searches and networking to how to self-reflect and develop career goals, the Center for Professional Development and Career Experience has a great series of FREE, engaging and informative sessions on the calendar this week:
Resumes and Cover Letters: Gone in 20 Seconds?
Tues., February 9th - 6:30 p.m.
You have 15-20 seconds to impress someone with a piece of paper (aka your resume and cover letter), because that's how long an average employer spends looking over your application. How will you measure up against others applying for the same position?
Weds., February 10th - 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
We know you're busy, so we've cleared our schedule to answer your most pressing career questions. Drop in to the CPDCE office in 201 Warren SSC for career coaching, resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, job search strategies, and information about experiential learning opportunities such as job shadowing and internships. No appointment needed!
Interviewing and Dress for Success
Thurs., February 11th - 6:30 p.m.
Looking your professional best during an interview can make the circumstance less stressful and you more confident. Join us as we provide pointers on how to handle interviews and dressing appropriately to make that best first impression!
Informal Friday - I Love My Career!
Fri., February 12th - 10:30am - 1:00 p.m.
With classes, assignments, organization meetings and even part-time work jamming up your calendar, how do you carve out time to focus on career stuff? Meet us in the Atrium of Warren SSC! This week, employers from a variety of organizations will be here to talk to you about why they love their career and how you can love yours too! No appointment needed. Participants will be entered into a raffle for great prizes!
