We are finally back into the groove of things and the lovely fall semester is underway. A lot of us are feeling the pressure to find an internship and thinking about getting a job after graduation. If you are like me, you stress about what’s appropriate to wear for special occasions – especially what to wear to interview for an internship or job! Did you know it is proven that within the first 4 to 9 minutes of an interview, a recruiter decides whether or not to seriously consider you for the position based on your appearance? I don’t know about you but that makes me determined to have the right interviewing attire from now on! Guess what else I learned? Students can get FREE gently used professional clothing right here at BU at the campus Career Closet. Check it out.
The Career Closet is located in the Alumni House and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Most items are gently used and donated by the BU faculty, staff and alumni.
