Here's another great internship for anyone who has an interest in economic revitalization, community development, and/or marketing/communications. The internship will consist of event planning. You will have the opportunity to help plan several events. All events are community-based with a specific goal of drawing more people into the downtown. As an intern, you will be asked to: help create work plans to ensure that events run smoothly; help the downtown manager run committee meetings; create promotional events including flyers and posters; learn how to contact media sources to promote events; help with overall planning associated with event planning.
